In my chemistry class our teacher gave us an unknown subsance containing two substances, we use a flame test for one adn tehn chemical tests for the other, Me and My lab group have figured out that one part of the unknown is Chloride seeing as the percipitate disolved when when added Amonium hydroxide. But the other part is just stumping me and my lab group. We burned it and it was a light orangish yellow color. We thought it was Sodium, But it wasnt. He told up it wasnt sodium. The unknown looks like tiny white balls, i dont know what it is. I thougth maybe Calcium. or Barium? Any help anyone?
