The Switch

What do you guys think?

Considering that if you do the math, the playoffs will end late July. Which gives us time to do the draft before Madden comes out...

Personally, I thought we should've waited til Madden09 came out for us to do anything. Switching at the end of the season MESSES up progression, makes the simmer and Admins do more work. But if we don't stick with 08 for every sim year, than this is pointless. It's like building up a team only to tear it down the next year. That's dumb as hell. If we switch to 09 then I'm out. Once half the league votes on this, I'll make my decision on whether to stay in the league or not.

Also, I have to agree, it would be damn confusing to do just one season before switching and losing it all.... I would like to do 09, but I'm torn on the issue of leaving our teams behind.... and it's not like we can just redo all the trades and etc. since play ratings would change.

You guys don't understand... when we would switch to 09, we would keep rosters and teams, just with updated ratings and retired players and stuff.

I see...... so basically, right now we should just load up on guys whom we know are going to be rated highly next year? In other words, what our guys do this 08 version and progression won't matter?

Well you want to be a strategic GM and choose the players who you know will have a higher rating next year. We can add progression in when we get 09, but we might not. It all depends on what happens this season and when we finish the season.

Basically, we don't carry over progressions we carry over rosters. So everything our players do that season means JACK SQUAT. That's just dumb. And if we switch to 09 them I'm out of here.
