I'm back

OK guys, I got back today... we're gonna get everything started again ASAP. There may be a major twist, which some of you may like and some of you may not... I'm not going to reveal it yet, just in case it doesn't happen so we don't start a huge argument over nothing, but it may be major as in deciding with the league. Hold off with the complaints until then, even though I know its hard for some of you

I know what the twist is, Sox and I developed it together.

But it won't be finalized for now; an Announcement will be posted up soon, however.

I predicted it months ago

so we are moving to 09?

If we are moving to 09, we should just start over. The progression would be off of what our players did in real life and not what they did in the sim. Players that retired in the sim didn't retire in real life. There are less rookies on the default 09 rosters than there are in a draft class, so teams would not be able to get a rookie for each of their picks (if you remember this is how the first draft in the old league was). Also this issue came up several times and the decision was to stick with 08. We shouldn't change now just because everyone is so excited by the "new shininess" of 09.

If everyone has to be in an 09 league that badly (and there are already a few out there) just start over, instead of taking what we did here and trying to input it in to 09.

Screw starting over. I took the Jets from ass hole lickers to legit super bowl contender, I think switching to 09 would be fine but we should keep the same rosters and redo the rookie draft.

I think we should stick with 08, which was the plan from the start. My point is that if we switch we should start over.

Progressions werent exactly great in this league to begin with. I think we should just stick with 08 as switching to 09 would mess up a lot of trades which would mean wed have to start over and that would be highly unfair to a lot of GMs who take shitty teams and turned them into contenders. Or atleast if we move to 09 see if you can edit ratings or something because it wouldnt be fair if people lost a 90+ player due to retirement or a 90+ player dropped to an 86.

We'd create players who retired... and to my knowledge, there were no serious overall drops.

Yeah can we edit ratings? I had a ton of good progressions

Start over or stick with 08. IMO, just start over. Sure, we had progressions, and we traded for players, but some overalls are now completely different, and some players who become FAs or were traded can make a huge difference.

I hope you're not speaking of your own team

We should sim this season fast in a couple days to see who won and stuff then switch to 09 and START OVER

Starting over is cool with me.
