Question about Free Agency

how long do you have to wait until a free agent you bid on is yours? I know in some other leagues it was like a 24 wait or something.

Yup it's 24 hours to the exact minute. So if you sign someone at 5:41 PM, you have to wait till 5:41 PM EXACTLY before he is on your team.

do these points have anything to do with resigning players
