POINT TOTAL TO SPEND: 24
See the other thread for franchise tag rules.
If you sign a guy under 77 to a year more than 3 years, then you have to sign him to the total pts of the years multiplier. So if I sign my 77/27 player to a 5 yr deal, it'll cost me 2 pts. But if I sign him to a 3 year deal, he's free.
Also, you can use the 1 to 1.5 or 2 to 1 rule if you would like. This basically means that you have two options. You can choose not to spend a certain amount of points, and receive 1.5 times that amount of points next year to spend. You can also spend points from next year, but those come at a 2 to 1 ratio. Here are some examples:
I have 4 pts left over and I don't have anyone else to resign. I'll leave them, and then next year, I will have 6 more points to add to my total (giving me 30 total next year) to spend.
Lets say I really need to resign this guy, and I need more 2.5 pts to do so. I can take these from next year, but next year I would lose 5 pts, giving me 19 total next year.
