| Because that is completely unfair to Aaron Rodgers, a first round pick whos sat on the bench for what 4 seasons? They promised Rodgers the starting job when Favre retired if you turn around and bench Rodgers again you piss of Rodgers and its completely unfair, if Favre says hes retired and hes done he needs to stay retired, the Packers did the right thing | |

he was essentially forced into retirement by the franchise, do you really think he actually wanted to retire?

| Lmao forced? Noone forced him to do anything he came off a great season, noone told him to retire noone wanted him to. He retired on his own, had a huge emotional press conference stating he didnt want to play this game anymore and then comes back and expects his starting job to still be their. Green Bay didnt force him to do anything. | |

Obviously favre didnt want to quit otherwise he wouldnt have came back again, and he would have had to compete for the starting job which he would have obviously gotten anyway. The franchise has been trying to move on from Favre for a while, which is not only the reason why they traded him, the Packers made it clear that they wanted to end the era in order to move on to the next. Favre knew this as well, so yes, the franchise is what pushed brett into retirement, not because "he doesnt want to play anymore."

Are you sucking Aaron Rodger's dick along with Tompson? It's a business and you do what is best for your team.. you want to win games, Rodgers will not win games, Favre will, who gives a shit about Rodgers and he was a pick, you fucking play the game, he would have gotten his turn, hes still 24, not 29.

I never said they told him too retire, but also, a team shouldnt trade there best player who can and would have lead them back to the NFC Champ game. Aaron Rodgers=Unproven Brett Favre=Proven Why the hell wouldnt you, makes no sence. I could care less about Aaron Rodgers and his progression, they drafted Brian Brohm

kinda like that, right? What im saying is that the reason Favre retired was because of the direction the Packers have obviously been trying to go, he retired not because hes sick of the game (which is evident by his return). This is the same reason that the Packers got rid of him to the Jets, Green Bay had been waiting for his departure.

| The point is you ditched your team for 1 mistake, Ive been through MUCH worse than this as a Saints fan. Remember the Ricky Williams draft day trade? Or the team threatening to move to Los Angeles? Trading Willie Roaf? The Saints have gone through a lot more then trading their QB who retired and came back and im still hanging strong with them, you are a bandwagon fan. | |

Your damn right i ditched em for the one mistake, and they wont do shit without em. Alot of Packer fans are disapointed and prob only watch a few games to see if/when Rodgers chokes, its a Packer thing and i wouldent espect you to understand it.

| LMAO no, Packers fans will still watch their teams games, your just not a real Packers fan. Your a bandwagon fan. Ricky Williams trade was MUCH worse than trading Brett Favre. The saints traded an ENTIRE fucking draft for Ricky Williams and im pretty sure a first the following year as well but I still stuck with them. | |

Thank you. The Titans have done somethings that I regret (McNair lockout was messy and just wrong, I felt to bad), but I don't abandon my franchise for that. Obviously, if it is a "Packer" thing to leave that franchise and have a new favorite team, then by golly, Packers fans aren't loyal fans, are they? Packers had the youngest team in the league last season. Yes, Favre gives them the best chance NOW, but what about 4-5 years down the line? Will he still be the same Favre as before? With the exception of last year, Favre was starting to slip a bit. Having Rodgers start now might not be the best chance NOW, but will help greatly 4-5 years down the line, and longer.
